A tradition of excellence

At Bishop Feild Elementary, we believe strongly in the importance of establishing and maintaining safe, caring and inclusive learning environments. We are fortunate enough to have a wonderfully diverse student population and school community here at Feild. To honor this, we have decided to hold our very first RainboRun for our elementary students to promote acceptance and diversity. This run will take place on Friday, June 10. Students will walk from school to King George V at 9:30 am and then proceed for the run/walk around Quidi Vidi Lake at 10:00 am collecting stickers at various stations as they go. We will be highlighting several local organizations as we proceed around the pond. These include: The Autism Society, The Learning Disabilities Association, The Mental Health Association, EGALE Canada and The Society for New Canadians.

We are very excited to be offering this opportunity to marry community awareness with active living for our student body. We are committed to healthy bodies, healthy minds and healthy communities.

To commemorate our very first RainboRunwe have decided to have t-shirts printed. These will be available for ordering starting tomorrow morning at a cost of $10.  Please note, we will only have a limited supply available for purchase on Friday morning, so the best bet is to order tomorrow morning.  I’ve included a picture of the tshirt here.  Our logo is one of a kind and was designed by Margaret Goulding, one of our grade six students who is a member of our student leadership team.  Like Bishop Feild, it is original.  As always, you are  invited to join us.  Note that this event is for our elementary students this year.Rainbow Run
